Bus leaves Annagry Car Park at 8am and we'll catch the Cavan v Kerry match as well. This is always a great day out for all. Call or text Gary on 0863546193 or PM this page with names. Up Donegal. The under 10s beat Ballyboden St Enda's and Ballyboden Wanderers to win back the James Maria Cup which was last won in 1995. Two great games of football and remember Ballyboden St Enda's are one of Ireland's biggest clubs with an amazing 82 teams!!! The under 12s beat Lucan Sarsfields and Ballyboden Wanderers to win the Jim Kearns Cup for the first time. Quality passing was the fea...ture of both games by the young Naomh Muire team. Overall a great day in Ballyboden and with two cups we left the Dublin mountains and headed for a great night in Croke park. Although Donegal lost (Baile Átha Cliath 3-16 Dún na nGall 0-13 ) we enjoyed the hurling match and the Dublin v Donegal game. We should be very proud of the 46 boys and girls who travelled and who represented their club and community with pride and great manners. All will remember days like this probably for ever which makes days like this worth it all. Watching them put the hard work of the winter training into practise against strong Dublin clubs was great to watch and they will all have taken something good from today. Thanks to all the coaches who travelled and to Sean O Baoill in Ballyboden for arranging the hosting of the blitz All the photos from the trip are available in the Gallery. Click here to go directly there. The under 10 and under 12 teams are going to Dublin on a club trip on Saturday March 24th. We will be taking part in a blitz hosted by Ballyboden Wanderers with whom we have a long friendship with. We have not been to Ballybden in a long time and we are glad to get this opportunity to visit. The blitz will include other club teams from Dublin. We will then attend the Donegal v Dublin national league match under lights at Croke Park. There is also a hurling game taking place in Croke Park that evening between Dublin and Tipperary. We return home after he match.
The club will cover most of the costs involved but we require a payment of e10 per child to assist. This covers return bus and match ticket. A small amount of pocket-money only is advised as Ballyboden will provide after-match refreshments. We will have a stop in Monaghan on the way up where players are asked to bring a packed lunch. We will stop in Monaghan again on the return journey at McDonalds. The bus will leave Annagry car park at 8am and we expect to return at 1.30am approximately. This is a great opportunity to recognise all the players at this age level who have been working hard during the winter on their skills. Their season will commence in the coming months and days out like this are an important part of their progress. We encourage as many players and coaches as possible to go on the trip. We will take names this coming week at training or contact the following. Charlie Boyle - under 10s Joe Glynn - under 12s Gary Boyle - Youth officer 0857616749 0873119761 0863546193 |
