Jigs n Reels winners 2012---Shaun Ward and Michelle Boyle. Well done to Shaun and Michelle as worthy winners of Jigs n Reels beating off huge competition from the 11 other couples. The entire show was really the winner with the Aislann packed to the gills and with 3 standing ovations bringing the house down. Everyone in involved in the show from its start in December can be very proud and pleased with their part. Aislann Rann na Feirste has again proven to be a superb venue and the production overall was first class. Costumes, hair, make up and props were quality, Michelle did a great job as compere, the young ladies players collected and counted the votes, McNelis-Cunningham school of dancing entertained at half time while Nicole Logan kept the dancers moving with needed treatments, the car park crews, door staff and stage hands. Thanks again and again to Fiona Gallagher, Pius and Marie for their hours of hard work and an excellent show, to Brid Winnie who kept the world informed through her many great photos behind the scenes and of the show here on facebook. This publicity helps to fill the hall and keep our emigrants in touch. Finally, thanks to the dancers, 27 in total since the start for their efforts and sacrifices throughout the campaign....a campaign that ended with as good a night's entertainment as you would get anywhere. |
