The U12’s were at home to Killybegs this evening . The B's started proceedings with a great display from all players on the night with in particular Conor Duffy and Michael Greene having stand out performances. The B's winning out at the end by 3 points. The A team played against well drilled Killybegs team who stand at 2nd place in the Div 1 table. We matched Killybegs tempo all over field in what was a very entertaining game. In particular during the first half Mikey McFadden caused havoc with his runs right throughtheir defence. In the end the strenght and height of their midfield pair proved to be the difference while also tagging on a number of points during the course of the game. Players having a great game on the night were Fintan Doherty ,Marc Walsh ,Jay Doherty and Shane Boyle. We went down on a final scoreline of 4.03 to 3.11.
On the panel for Monday’s games were, Alphie Greene, Aodhan Gillespie, Andy O Gara, Conor Duffy , Conor Cannon , Danny O Donnell, Dominic Boyle, Eoin Glynn, Eoin Martin ,Fintan Doherty, Fíonán Rodgers, Hugh Sweeney , Jay Doherty, Joe Bonner, Joey Gillespie, Joseph Greene , Lee Gallagher,Liam Gallagher, Mairtín Mannion ,Marc Walsh, Michael Greene, Mikey Mc Fadden, Noah Boyle, Odhran O Donnell-Duffy, Owen Boyle, Ronan Boyle, Shane Boyle & Tuathal Lunny. The U12’s were away to Bundoran this evening . On a very warm night both A &
B teams proved to strong for the home side. The A’s got going right from the start and put away some great scores . Both defence and attack being on top for all of the game. Final score line in the A Game was 11.11 to 3points. The B game was a much tighter affair with the B's winning by a point.Highlights on the night included a penalty save from our goal keeper Tuathal Lunney. Performing very well for the A Team were Marc Walsh, Conor Hanlon and Joey Gillespie while for B team good performance from Conor Cannon and Ronan Boyle. Two of our remaining three games are against Division one table toppers Killybegs and Glenties with Killybegs up first next monday night in the banks. All support as always is much appreciated by the lads The U12’s played St Nauls this evening in their fourth game of the league. The A team played poorly in first half conceding 1-09 to no score. It was case of our forward line failing to retain possession and lacking composure of the previous game against Dungloe. In the second half as with other games we put a strong display and pulled back it back to 2 points with a few minutes remaining. But poor finishing in the end caused the game to slip away. St Nauls winning by 4 points on a score line of 2-11 to 2-07.
The B's put in a spirited performance but failed against a strong St Nauls squad who had to field with a mix of their A team. Great displays in the A Game from Conor Hanlon and Fintan Doherty while on the B side good performances from in Goal Aodhan Gillespie and Conor Duffy. On the panel for the games were, Alphie Green , Andy O Gara, Aodhan Gillespie, Cathal Rodgers, Conor Duffy ,Conor Hanlon , Danny O Donnell , Dominic Boyle, Eoin Glynn, Eoin Martin ,Fintan Doherty, Fíonán Rodgers, Hugh Sweeney , Jamie Mc Fadden, Jay Doherty, Joe Bonner, Joey Gillespie,Mairtín Mannion ,Marc Walsh, Mikey Mc Fadden, Noah Boyle, Odhran O Donnell-Duffy , Ronan Boyle & Tuathal Lunny. Next up is a home game against Aodh Ruadh at the banks this Saturday at 6.30pm As always plenty of support to cheer on the lads is much appreciated. The U12’s league continued on Monday with an away game to Dungloe. Both A & B games proved to be very tight and physical affairs. The A’s started slowly again down 5 points at half time on a score line of 1-04 to 2-06. With our backline working much harder in second half and good support play in midfield and forward line our A side gradually pushed on to win the game with help of some very clinical finishing. The final score line was 2-08 to 5-05. This game was 30 minutes aside and the fitness level of our lads was very encouraging with all working hard right to the end. Great displays in particular from our Goal keeper Tuathal Lunny in the backline from Hugh Sweeney and Fintan Doherty while Mikey McFadden and Jay Doherty, with a personal tally of 4 goals, showed the way up front.
The B team also put in a huge performance and were unlucky to go down by point at the end. Strong performance from Lee Gallagher, Joe Bonner , Dillon O Donnell , Marc Walsh & Liam Gallagher. On the panel for Monday’s games were, Alphie Green , Aodhan Gillespie, Conor Duffy ,Conor Hanlon , Conor Cannon , Danny O Donnell , Danny Ward, Dillion O Donnell, Dominic Boyle, Eoin Glynn, Eoin Martin ,Fintan Doherty, Fíonán Rodgers, Hugh Sweeney , Jamie Mc Fadden, Jay Doherty, Joe Bonner, Lee Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Mairtín Mannion ,Marc Walsh, Mikey Mc Fadden, Noah Boyle, Odhran O Donnell-Duffy , Ronan Boyle & Tuathal Lunny. The U12’s played their 2nd League game against Four Masters at the banks on Monday evening with a win for both A & B teams. The B team were in the lead throughout their game while the A team got off to a slow start, down 6 points at a half time , but put in a very strong second half to win by 4 points.
The skill level on show was a great credit to the Lads. We had a panel of 26 players on night making up the 13 aside A & B teams.
