Schools Blitz in the Banks

Today Naomh Mhuire hosted the first ever schools blitz for 2nd and 3rd class children today. The day saw Rann na Feirste, Anagaire, Beal Cruit agus Loch an Iúir schools enter teams in both boys and girls sections. Each team played 4 games each with all teams doing well. This is part of the schools programme which is being run throughout the year by the Bord na nÓg where Robbie has been going into the schools. We would like to thank the schools for their continued support and of course the teachers for helping out. We look forward to working in the schools in the years to come. There were no winners today only the boys and girls who played and took part. Thanks to Donald, Charlie, Brid, Charlie Doherty and Paul who helped referee the games. Next Wednesday we have the 4th, 5th and 6th class blitz for boys and girls in the banks at 12 o clock where Rann na Feirste won the boys and Anagaire won the girls last year.
