Played in good conditions with a light breeze in Mountcharles this evening, Naomh Mhuire came away with an excellent victory. It was a close affair in the first half with the home team shading the possession. A late rally from St. Nauls where they scored 1-1 in the last few minutes, left the score at half time 1-04 to 0-05. Trailing by two points the visiting side went in at half time knowing that they were up against it. An Owenie McGarvey converted penalty early in the second half inspired Naomh Mhuire and with some excellent defensive displays they restricted the home team to just two points in the second half. MIdway through the half it was all square at 1-06 a piece. From there on some superb point taking saw Naomh Mhuire run out winners by four points in the end.
