Result: Naomh Conaill 1-07 Naomh Muire 2-07
Today in a very cold Davey Brennan park Naomh Muire were the visitors who were protecting a perfect start to the season with 2 games played and 2 wins recorded. Naomh Conaill themselves had only played 1 game before this contest and also recorded a 3 point victory over Naomh Columba.
The home team playing with the wind in the first half recorded the first score of the match on 10 minutes through a free from Ciarán Thompson. Number 14 for Naomh Muire Sean McCafferty leveled with a free from distance.Charlie McGuinness then put Naomh Conaill ahead again with a well taken point from play with Ethan O Donnell following up quickly with another score from play to extend Glenties lead to 2 points.
A big moment in the halve as Naomh Muire's James Ferry beat the Glenties keeper Owen McGettigan for the first goal of the game and put the visitors in the lead for the first time in the match 1-1 to 0-03.
McGuinness scored a fine point in the middle of 2 frees from the boot of McCafferty. 1-05 to 0-03 to Naomh Muire at this stage in the game. With time running out Thompson stood up to the mark and dragged his team back into the contest with 2 points to leave the half time score 1-5 to 0-05 in favour of Naomh Muire.
Two minutes into the second half and a hammer blow to Naomh Conaill as a penalty was awarded against them and converted by the very cool McCafferty to leave 6 points between the sides again. County Minor captain Patrick Gillespie then got on the score sheet with a well taken point and at this stage of the match it was looking a very tall order for the home team to get back into the game but get back into it is what they done with a brilliant move to set Kevin McGettigan through as the Naomh Conaill center back crashed the ball to the back of the net and leave four points between the sides 2-06 to 1-05.
The impressive Jack Boyle eased a bit of pressure to put them 5 points up again and with time running out Thompson and O Donnell added further points for Naomh Conaill but it was to little to late as the final whistle blew.
Final Score Naomh Conaill 1-07, Naomh Muire 2-07.
Verdict: A game in which the wind played a factor Naomh Muire with that half time lead would hoped to kick on in the second half and win comfortably with the wind behind their backs but Naomh Conaill never gave up and were far better in the second half than the first.Their was enough in this game to suggest when these teams meet in the championship it will be a very tight match.
Man of the Match - Some excellent performances from Naomh Conaill's Ciarán Thompson and who battled hard with Patrick Gillespie and Jack Boyle from Naomh Muire but Seán McCafferty from Naomh Muire was excellent not only in his free taken but his all round play deserves the award.
Michael McShane refereed the game and had a good match in the middle.

Result: Naomh Muire 1-07 Dungloe 0-08
A game played in ideal conditions at the banks last Sunday morning saw Naomh Muire overcome Dungloe in the 1st outing of the season. Naomh Muire got the first score after a foul on Adam O Brien was converted by Sean McCafferty. Dungloe responded with a free of their own but 3 more scores from Sean McCafferty, 2 from play and 1 free, and a free from Dungloe saw Naomh Muire lead 0-04 to 0-02 after 20 mins. Naomh Muire played some good football and finished the half with a point from wing-back Sean Burns followed by another pointed free from McCafferty. A well worked goal following good team play and unselfish play from James Ferry set-up Seán McCafferty for a crucial goal. Dungloe got another free with the last kick of the half to leave the half-time score 1-06 to 0-04 at half-time. Dungloe began the 2nd half brightly and got the first 3 scores on the board to leave 2 point between the teams. Another point from Dungloe left a point in it and it looked like they were having it all their own way in the 2nd half. A point from James Ferry on 46 mins proved to be the last point of the game with the Naomh Muire defence seeing out the game. A good team performance from Naomh Muire in their first game of the season.
