28/10/12
Senior : Naomh Muire 0-16 Naomh Bríd 0-06 Reserve: Naomh Muire 6-10 Naomh Bríd 0-04 Seniors Naomh Muire won their last league game this afternoon in a commanding performance against Naomh Brid . This win guarantees at least a play-off to remain in Division two as well as home advantage in that play-off. Depending on next week's result between Naomh Bríd and Cloch Cheann Fhaola, Naomh Muire could yet be playing a play off which would see them achieve Senior Championship football next year. Today's performance shows why few teams like coming to the Banks as Naomh Muire proved too much for the visitors and ran quickly into a 4 point lead. They then added to this going in at half time with a 0-10 to 0-2 lead having dominated. Naomh Bríd enjoyed better possession early in the second half and brought it back to a 6 point gap before the lads got their rhythm back and increased their lead, running out ten point winners in the end. Reserves The reserves showed some great finishing by hammering the Naomh Bríd side in their match and finish the season in a strong upper table position. The long awaited U-16 County Final will take place in Termon on Tuesday 30th October @ 3.30pm. Rally the troops and make sure we have a big crowd out to cheer the girls on.Naomh Mhuire V St. Eunans Scrap Saturday- The final clean up of the two Parishes takes place this Saturday (27/10/12). Naomh Muire are holding their third and final Scrap Saturday event. The previous two were an outstanding success in both cleaning away old metal scrap as well as raising over €10,000 for the Club Development work which is starting this winter. This Saturday there is yet another chance to get rid of any small or large bits of Scrap Metal. There will be a collection at the following points this Saturday:
Support the Developments and clear the old shed out this Saturday. The seniors and reserves will play their final league game this Sunday (28/10/12) in the Banks. They take on Naomh Bríd in a very important game. Naomh Bríd have two games remaining and must win at least one to avoid automatic relegation. A win for Naomh Muire on the other hand would ensure them a home tie in the playoffs.and would also move them level on points with Cloich Cheann Fhaola who would have one game remaining at home to Fanad Gaels. So it's all to play for on Sunday. The action begins at 1:30 when the reserves take to the field to round off a decent season. The senior game throws in at 3:00. Bundoran entertain Glenfin in the other game in the division. Minors

Naomh Muire seniors went down by a goal in Ballybofey today on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-11. A hard fought physical game where the home team got off to a great start leading by 1-03 to 0-00 after ten minutes. Naomh Muire quickly regrouped and battled hard to leave the half time score 1-06 to 1-04. Indeed in the second half it was the visitors who started the brightest and leveled matters soon after and pushed on to take the lead. With both sides trading points MacCumhaills came back strong and finished that single goal ahead in the end. The win means that MacCumhaills are assured of division 2 football next year whereas Naomh Muire return home next weekend to face Naomh Bríd in a battle for home advantage in the play off. There are a few different scenarios depending on other results but it the playoffs will involve Fanad Gaels, Naomh Bríd, Naomh Muire and possibly even Cloich Cheann Fhaola. In the earlier game the reserves were defeated by a single point. A great effort from all the lads. Hard luck to our girls yesterday (20/10/12), they put up a mighty challenge but in the end we have to rue missed chances in front of goal. The parents and supporters and club are proud of you all and it won't be long before we take a minor title to the Lower Rosses. Maith sibh a ghirseachaí!
