U-21 Championship: Naomh Muire v Kilcar (29/08/13)

Our U-21s host Kilcar on Thursday night in this all to play for Championship match. Paddy McBrearty will lead a talented visiting side which will also include County player Ryan McHugh. Kilcar are favourites to win this County title this year and beat Glenswilly on Friday night.

Naomh Muire will have other thoughts on this and although may not have the experience at County level - the lads have played together for many years and with some of the Minors coming through into the squad they will be looking to ask plenty of questions of Kilcar and push them as hard as it is possible.

Kevin White is our Manager on Thursday evening and hosting teams like Kilcar in the top tier of a Championship is where we want to be playing.

Good luck to team and management on Thursday night and let's get a big home crowd out in support.

The U-21's will play the winners of Glenswilly v Kilcar (being played on 23/08/13) on Tuesday 27th at 7.00pm in the Banks.

The U-21's bowed out of the championship in Donegal town this morning. The final score was:

Naomh Muire just came up short in what was a rip roaring end to end game. It finished all square after normal time with Naomh Muire equalising in the final minutes to send the game into extra time. This young side battled hard all throughout the game and had they taken a few more of their chances the result may have been different. In the end only a goal seperated the teams so well done to the players and management for a great effort. Most of this team will still be U-21 next year and so they will only build from this and be stronger next year.

Naomh Muire U-21's will play Four Masters at home in the Banks on Tuesday 12h July at 7:30pm. This is the first round of the Championship. If you can please come to the Banks and support the lads on Tuesday.
