It is with deep regret that the club have learned last night of the passing of one of it's true characters, Frankie Pat Gallagher. Today's divsion 3 league games have been cancelled as a mark of respect.
The club offers it's deepest sympathy to his wife Catherine, his sons Francis and Ciaran and to Frankie’s mother Kathleen Duffy and brothers Jimmy, Denis and Pat. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam usual. Both teams make the trip eastwards to Newton this Saturday for an another important league game. The reserves are out at 3pm while the seniors throw in at 4:30pm. Let's get out and support the lads on a day where they have every chance of securing promotion to division 2 with a victory. All the best to both teams. The Bord na nÓg AGM will be held on Sunday November 20th in the banks. Prior to the meeting it is important that we know who is willing to get involved in looking after a team for the 2012 season. Please contact Gary if you would like to get involved in a role managing, coaching or helping out with a team.
The club will hold a level 1 coaching course for club coaches during the weekend of December 3rd and 4thin the sports-hall in Dungloe. The course will run on Friday evening from 7pm to 10pm and on Saturday from 9am to 3pm. This is an excellent opportunity for coaches to up-skill on their doorstep with other coaches from the club without having to travel a long distance. The course will be limited so get your name down ASAP. For more information contact Gary on 0863546193.

The regional finals of Scor na nÓg takes place in Aislann Rann na Feirste on Friday 28th of October. Starting time for the events is 7.30pm sharp. Táille €5. This is the first time for the Naomh Muire club to host a regional finals for a long number of years,Good support would be appreciated as we have a very young but talented contingent of participents in this years events. Naomh Muire took another massive step towards promotion this afternoon with a comfortable win against Urris. With Urris not travelling for the reserve game this was the main focus this afternoon and with some favourable results in the division last night, Naomh Muire made sure to push home their advantage at the top of the league. Although the ground was solid , there was a very fast surface and both teams struggled to get the pace of the ball early on. Naomh Muire settled best and led by 0-7 to 0-4 at HT. Urris were only to add 2 scores after the break whereas the young Naomh Muire side pulled well ahead playing some really good fast football in a purple patch in the second half. This was winter football played well. The league is all about getting results and the lads deserve full credit for carving out yet another victory against a physically stronger side. With three games remaining (Home to Burt and St. Nauls and away to Naomh Colmcille) another victory will see Naomh Muire automatically promoted to division 2. Mathematically with their remaining games Aodh Ruadh can draw level with Naomh Muire's current points total while Burt and St. Nauls could both reach 27 points if they win all their remaining games. Burt have a tough run in with four of their five remaining games away from home which includes a visit to the Banks. St. Nauls also face a tough run in with four of their five games also away from home, one of which will be a visit to the Banks. Naomh Muire1.Sean Gallagher 2. Aidi O'Gara 3. Thomas Duffy 4.
