Jimmy Doherty was this years Hall of Fame winner and boy what a deserving man. This page is too short to outline Jimmy's contribution both on the sideline as Bainisteoir and off it in developing the facilities on view today. Jimmy gave the Club his all taking us to Division one, Intermediate Champions, Senior Championship football and acted as Chairman and Club Uachtarán. A humble man who has achieved much in his life and it was great to see Jimmy on the stage last night receiving this great Honour. Although he has returned to the quieter game of golf "far from the madding crowd"...Jimmy is still around us in the oft heated GAA scene . Comhghairdeachas leat a Jimmy, tá sé tuillte go maith agat.

2012 was an outstanding year at underage level with the highest numbers of young children turning up since the club was founded in 1980. The committment of the coaches was another factor and Naomh Muire have certainly continued their growth at under-age level.

Well done to Naomh Muire Clubman and All-Ireland winner with Club in 2007 Ciarán Doherty who became the National Masters Champion today. A great achievement.
The Clubhouse was packed to the rafters this evening for the annual Bord na nÓg presentations. This was by far the best attended night so far and an estimated 150 squeezed in.
Gary Boyle Youth Officer outlined the year that was and all the great attitude which is part of the under-age set up. He thanked the coaches and parents for all the help and support. Gary spoke about how hard work now was the most important factor in our youth and that work was showing at levels.
Marty Boyle, the Donegal defender spoke about his admiration for Naomh Muire hearing great reports from those who are involved at underage levels. Marty spoke about how he didn't feature on the Naomh Conaill Senior side when he was 22 and only broke through after hard work before getting a break this year at 27 years old with Donegal, playing against Dublin in the All-Ireland semi this year.
The awards were presented by Marty and our Club player Adi O Gara.
