We are running this on Sunday 25th march at 6pm and we are hoping that in particular we appeal to anyone remotely associated with the building trade to be there as we are making a project plan for the building of the changing rooms. The announcement will go out in the newspapers this weekend. Following an introduction, there will be 2 short presentations; one about the floodlights and the other about the changing rooms and planning. There will be some light refreshments served and finally a short discussion about how best to project plan the changing rooms and get everyone to give their time through the project. We aim to start building as soon as planning would be granted (earliest would be mid May) and we hope have the entire job completed by late August or September. This is vital to the success of the development and if it is to move forward at all we need volunteers from the trade and also general labourers to commit to help throughout the summer. Our aim is to come away with a comprehensive list of able, willing, reliable volunteers and their appropriate skills and availability “Ask not what your club can do for you….. but …..” Shaun Rodgers On Behalf of the Development Committee Ádh mór ar ghirseachaí Scoil Rann na Feirste agus Scoil Anagaire atá ag dul go h-Áth Luain inniu (Dé Máirt) le páirt a ghlacadh i gCraobh na hÉireann i Lúthchleasa faoi dhíon do bhunscoileanna a bheas ar siúl Dé Céadaoin. The meeting is in relation to support of both the upcoming development works as well as other Club needs. Shaun Rodgers of the Ladies board has done some very good work on a 100plus club proposal and there are some interesting proposals re a Club Naomh Muire as well. There is a programme of events planner to be discussed and any other ideas that come up. The request is for all club members to attend as it has been agreed that fundraising in 2012 is important to both support development and club activities as well as reducing the need for borrowing. The Senior team are in Division two and therefore playing Senior clubs and coaching at under-age level continues to gather pace....they need our support financially. Fundraising has started off much better this year than last year and in particular the Ladies board have shown a very positive attitude. The upcoming Jigs and Reels will be a boost to the funds needed but its important to push on with the other major events and not just concentrate on this.
