Have to say to parents of the girls be proud of them and we can and we will be back next year to go further in this Competition.Good team performance,Captain Orla pulling off some fine stop at crucial stages to keep us in the game. This was by far the best attended night so far and an estimated 150 squeezed in. Gary Boyle Youth Officer outlined the year that was and all the great attitude which is part of the under-age set up. He thanked the coaches and parents for all the help and support. Gary spoke about how hard work now was the most important factor in our youth and that work was showing at levels. Marty Boyle, the Donegal defender spoke about his admiration for Naomh Muire hearing great reports from those who are involved at underage levels. Marty spoke about how he didn't feature on the Naomh Conaill Senior side when he was 22 and only broke through after hard work before getting a break this year at 27 years old with Donegal, playing against Dublin in the All-Ireland semi this year. The awards were presented by Marty and our Club player Adi O Gara. Photos from the evening are available in the awards section under the Home menu. Click the link below to go directly there... Underage Award Presentations 2012 Another great night at the weekly Healthy Living catch up in the Banks. Total weight loss for the week was 2 stone and 4 pounds! A great achievement. Excellent exercise routine afterwards which was well attended again and led by Michael Gallagher. The total raised in January through this group... which is handed over to the Ladies Football board of Naomh Muire was €802.80. In February the Minor board of the Club will receive the money raised for underage football. This is a great part of the Healthy living kick start. Feel free to join in on any Wednesday at 7pm. It is open to all people who want to shed a few pounds, man pounds or simply to push yourself a bit into exercise. Great thanks is due to Maighread and Brid who have been great at registration and weigh-in. Without their committment, the weekly get togethers would not have been possible....Thanks Girls Congratulations from the Club and the Community to Mel O Donnell who won the Sports award for Services at Primary school level at the Donegal Sports Awards last night at the Silver Tassie.
