Donegal Senior and Minor Team Training Fund Night - In Leos next Saturday Night 13th
Naomh Muire are hosting an Oiche Mór in Leos next Saturday night in support of the training fund for our heros in the Minor and Senior Squads. Music will... be provided by Local Artists as we show our appreciation and support for both teams as they prepare for the All -Ireland Final in Two weeks. With so many players from Gaoth Dobhair, Dungloe and Na Rossa as well as several locals involved in the management, it is only right that we play our part in helping out the successful training fund. The sides have brought pride, honour and joy to the county and this is an opportunity to show our support. There will be an auction of a signed Minor and Senior jersey as well as a signed football from Sundays game (bids can be made in advance). Please support our County Hero's......Jim, Declan and the teams. Once again great a great night of Entertainment in the RCS Dungloe. Take a bow the many who set up and cleared away a great arena, Donal and Mairead who kept the craic and show going, ticket sellers, car park and door staff, RCS for their help, sponsors and those who attended. To many who spent weeks preparing. The trainers and corner men who gave of their time. Judges and Ref. Most of all HUGE credit to the boxers who put their bodies on the line from the very fit to the others who were prepared to add to the hype and night, taking a blow or two. The two girls who were outstanding, Boxers from other clubs and in particular the Dungloe lads who stepped up when asked. One guarantee is that the money raised will be well spent well. Thanks to all for your support - it is much appreciated . BIG FIGHT NIGHT - This Saturday, March 1st Tomorrow our ground crew have a day off from Clubhouse developments!
Our trusted volunteer crew have been doing trojan work to keep the clubhouse extension on schedule by giving of their time on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings, for that the club and entire community are grateful and proud of their efforts! Tomorrow they take a well earned break to spend a Saturday with their families. Pass the word on 'No work tomorrow' just in case someone was missed out on the text! The Naomh Muire club would like to invite all members of our community along to the Banks this Friday evening (18/10/13) at 8pm for the official turning on of the new floodlights. With Michelle Nic Grianna kindly acting as MC for the night, Dinny McGinley, Minister of State for the Gaeltacht will be in attendance to officially turn on the lights. This is the culmination of many months of hard work and voluntary labour from so many within our community. Those who were not able to physically help on the ground have certainly come up trumps with sponsorship coming in from all over the world for this project. A lovely aspect of this campaign has been the sponsorship of lights in memory of our dears friends who are no longer with us. Many of these people were great supporters of our club and it is a fitting tribute to them to have a light shining down on our current and indeed our future players for many years to come. The club does not in anyway underestimate the contribution made by you all both at home and abroad. It gives us great comfort and support to think that no matter if you are in Singapore, Perth, New York or Capetown that you still keep the club very much close to your heart. Go raibh míle maith agaibh uilig. A list of all sponsors will be unveiled in the clubhouse on the night. Come along and join in the celebration from 8pm. Light refreshments will be available on the night. Please come early if possible for parking purposes. Plean Forbartha Teanga
