Suitable candidates are invited to apply by December 13th to; Club Secretary c/o Naomh Muire GAA Club, Kincasslagh, Co Donegal. Tomorrow our ground crew have a day off from Clubhouse developments!
Our trusted volunteer crew have been doing trojan work to keep the clubhouse extension on schedule by giving of their time on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings, for that the club and entire community are grateful and proud of their efforts! Tomorrow they take a well earned break to spend a Saturday with their families. Pass the word on 'No work tomorrow' just in case someone was missed out on the text! Naomh Muire dominated this match from the first minute and throughout the game in Glenswilly today. Mc Cumhaills now play Cloughaneely in a relegation play-off while Naomh Muire secure their Div 2 status for 2014.
The lads imposed themselves and with goals at the start of each half by Shaun the Yank and Owen Grant...they were too strong for a disappointing Mc Cumhaills side. Every Naomh Muire player contributed and even when Mac Cumhaills threaten to start a fight back they were denied. Div 2 and Senior Championship next year. Maith sibh a fheara. Early start today for this game in Maghregallan and it was
St. Eunans who started the brightest and at half time we trailed by 2-06 to 3pts going into the break. Eunans dominated the first half, but our girls never say die attitude kept their spirits up and in the second half the fightback began for the throw in. While our girls camped in side Eunans 45 for the second half,we just could not get the big scores to win the match and in the end with some heroic effort from our girls the clock ran out with St'Eunans emerging victorious. While we left Maghregallan losing this final, the effort by our young girls was never in question and we are mighty proud of everyone one of you. Big thanks to Robbie, John Mac, Marion and Eileen and the crew for their work with this great wee team and the words of our younger girls while having their much earned tea and biscuits after the match was, "We Will be Back" and of that their is no doubt with these girls! In the short space of a few years of Ladies football in the Club it is a big achievement to be in a Minor final at such an early stage in development of the Ladies board. To make a final against a team such as St Eunan's means that the pressure is all on the Letterkenny side and therefore the young Tigress's from the Lower Rosses will go into this match giving it their all. The attitude and determination of this side over the years has been an inspiration and we wish both management and team all the best on Sunday. We urge all supporters to make it a day on the road with the Minor Final at 11am in Gaoth Dobhair and the Senior Play-off against McCumhaills in Glenswilly at 2pm. Big match for the Seniors on Sunday against McCumhaills. The winners of this
match retain their Div 2 status while the losers play Cloughaneely in a relegation... play off. This makes it the most important match of the season and one that the lads can win and keep their Div 2 position. Although the team were beaten twice in recent weeks (against top Ulster club sides it must be said), the football played in both matches was of a high quality and if this is carried into Sunday's game and over the full hour.......victory will be Naomh Muire's. The team know that they are capable of winning this play-off and the supporters and club know that as well. As normal a huge travelling support is important and this can be a big boost on the day. We have a growing fan base and no doubt this will add to the day on Sunday. We wish the lads all the very best and look forward to another year in Division 2 with victory on Sunday.See More Éist arís le agallamh a rinne Owenie Mac Gairbheith, Pádraig Mac Eachmharcaigh agus Danny Ó Domhnaill le Séamus Mac Éidigh díreach i ndiaidh cluiche ceannais idirmheánach i bpáirc Uí Dhomhnaill, Leitir Ceanainn.
