U14 Girls had a hard earned victory over near neighbours Gaoth Dobhair on tues night in the league.

Comhghairdeas dó Sarah Doherty who won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze and Ailbe O'Donnell who won Bronze at the Indoor sportshall athletics meeting in Birmingham on Saturday Representing Donegal. Both these girls play u14 girls for Naomh mhuire and Donegal u14 teams.

Naomh Mhuire ran into a deserved 6 point lead in the first 20 minutes. The lads moved the ball at speed varying high ball into John Pidgeon with low quick ball into Ciaran Mc Ginley and Shaun the Yanks Boyle who were giving the Killybegs reargaurd a torrid opening. A disputed goal brought Killybegs into the game just before half time.
The second half was a more even affair with Killybegs experience bringing them  within 3 points with ten minutes left. Then a mix up in the square saw Killybegs equalise with a goal their play did not deserve. A massive Conal Molloy point for the visitors saw Killybegs edge into a one point lead with the clock running out. However....as they had shown all night....Naomh Mhuire kept and worked good possesion getting into a great position to equalise and Ciaran Mc Ginleys free (his tenth point of the evening) brought them all square in match that was end to end with the home side playing by far the better football.

The Senior team will play twice this weekend with a home fixture against Killybegs this Friday (20/04/12) at 7pm. Please note that there will be no reserve game on Friday.
On Sunday (22/04/12) both teams will travel to Ballintra to take on Naomh Bríd in round 5 of the league. Sunday's games will be at 1:30pm and 3:00pm.

Ladies, U-16s and minors please note a time change for training. Training now takes place at 8pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the Banks.

The Club are organising a Scrap Saturday on Saturday May 5th. This is where we ask all from the area to bring along any old scrap metal to the GAA Club and we will separate it before off-loading it to a recognised recycling company. The Club benefits from this and uses the money raised for forthcoming developments such as the building of additional dressing rooms, improved coaching etc. The public who take the scrap down can get rid of metal which is gathering and by doing so are helping the Club and its youth.
