16/06/2011 Donegal News (Friday) Preview Following the All Ireland Peile na Gaeltachta last week, the Seniors get back to basics this Saturday evening with a tough home game against Milford in their drive for promotion. Sitting on top of the league in June does not gain promotion and its where they are come October that will matter to the lads. They know that themselves and a victory on Saturday night...against a side who made them fight in all sorts of ways a few weeks ago for a one point win....will put Naomh Mhuire even further ahead at the top of the league. Dont forget the fine young reserve side is on first at 5.30pm....followed by the main event at 7pm......Bigí linn. Dungloe came out on top in this div 1 game played in the banks this evening. Playing against the breeze Naomh Mhuire started well and were matching Dungloe point for point. On 20 minutes Naomh Mhuire were 0-04 - 0-03 ahead but in the next 7 minutes Dungloe scored 2-02 and this was the difference between the teams on reflection of the game. Naomh Mhuire finished with 1-01 before half-time with a goal and a point from Darren Sweeney to leave the half-time score Naomh Mhuire 1-05 Dungloe 2-05. In the 2nd half dungloe added a further 2-03 and our boys scored 5 points with good scores from Seimi Grant. Naomh Mhuire also had a number of wides as they kept pushing for scores towards the end of the game. Overall a good first half performance although Dungloe were stronger in the 2nd half. 11 scores to Naomh Mhuire and 12 scores for Dungloe with goals being the difference again tonight. Division 1 was always going to be tough but its the only place to play and get better. Next week the boys are at home to Four Masters and will be trying to concede less goals to give them a chance of picking up 2 points. Best for Naomh Mhuire tonight were Jack Boyle, Cian Boyle, Daniel Devlin, Darren Sweeney and Seimi Grant.
