As the Banks are now fully lit up thanks to the many who supported in so many ways......the project now turns to the changing rooms this weekend.
HELP is needed on Saturday morning 8am and throughout the day with installing windows, carpentry work and lots of labour help as well. Any kind of help, catering, running around etc would be appreciated. We are now aiming to complete the new additional changing rooms and other areas inside. If you can help with a day, half a day, a few hours or with anything at all... The division 2 league is now coming to a interesting conclusion with all teams having 3 or less games to play. Bundoran and Glenfin have the advantage of all home games for the run in whereas Buncrana and Cloich Cheann Fhaola will be on the road for their final games. League leaders, Glenswilly have three tough games, one at home and two away; one of which includes a trip to the Banks. Second placed Termon will entertain Naomh Muire at the Burn road as well as facing a trip to Glenswilly in what may be a league decider. Third place Dungloe face the bottom two sides at home as well as a trip south to Bundoran. Following our own league game tomorrow in Bundoran we have the top and bottom side in the league, both at home, as well as a trip to second placed Termon. Mac Cumhaills play bottom of the table Buncrana at home as well as completing the return leg of the derby in Glenfin. As we have seen throughout the league there is nothing easy and as we close in on the end of the league all teams will be out to take maximum points from there remaining games which should make for an interesting run in to this year's league. Below is the current table (14/09/13) following tonight's two league games. This will be updated following tomorrow's game in Bundoran.
Teachtaireacht ó rúnaí na Condae. Chuig Gach Rúnaí: It has been brought to our attention in recent weeks that some members of our Association in the county have been using social media to publish defamatory and libelous statements on social media accounts. All GAA members are encouraged to take part in social media but the Association expects each individual to follow the guidelines on using social media. (see attached document) I would ask all clubs to remind their members and players of the implications of referring to the GAA in social media when they do. Each member is to adhere to the GAA's Official Guide and Club Constitution, as well as other applicable documents. All GAA members are subject to the GAA Code of Behaviour when online, even when they are not acting on behalf of the Association. I would ask clubs to make club members aware of the GAA Social Media Guidelines. Disciplinary Action WILL be taken against members of the Association who are deemed to have Discredited the Association or bringing the Association into Disrepute. I trust you will bring this matter to the attention of your club members as a matter of urgency to avoid any potential disciplinary action being taken against any members. LIGHT UP YOUR CLUB - There are now erected Pylons and lights at the Banks. The next challenge is to raise the money for the lightbulbs - all 50 which will cost €100 a bulb. When all 50 are in we'll light up the club. We are asking our ex-patriots overseas or out of the county to help us LIGHT UP YOUR CLUB. Having the ability to play in winter nights will be a huge lift to the community in the years ahead can you just imagine when the likes of these young under 12s get stuck into winter training in the years ahead this is not a cost, it's an investment. Great response so far with cheques and money orders on the way from Perth, Sydney, NYC, London and Dublin...thanks to all. Traffic Arrangements for Sunday

A number of organisations have made car parking available:
