Seniors: Milford 1-07 Naomh Muire 0-11

The collection of two points and six wins out of six was the prize of a one point win in Milford today. This was one of those ugly, niggly, foul-ridden matches which perhaps in the past we would have lost but although behind by three points at one stage the lads kept their composure and discipline in trying times to graft out this win.
Milford are difficult to beat at home and they will take points off teams here this year. The lads never really got a long enough spell playing their game and when they did get on top a combination of poor finishing albeit in a swirling breeze meant that they didn't shake a tough tackling Milford side off when they could have.
The ref should be mentioned here. Kevin Doherty of Letterkenny Gaels reffed a difficult match well. Overall its a decent sign when you play bad and win.....and we'll take an ugly win away from home any day. Well done Lads.
