![]() N. Mhuire 0-15 Carndonagh 0-10 (See Gallery for photos) Played with a slight cross field breeze it was N. Mhuire who got into gear first as they registered two early scores through Ciaran McGinley and Harry Harden. Carndonagh then had their opening score from the impressive Donncha Gallagher. Both teams defended very well and scores were at a premium. Gallagher fired over from 25 yards before replies from Paul 'Yank' Boyle, 'Moses' McGinley and Sean 'Yank' Boyle brought N. Mhuire to seven points while D. Gallagher broke two tackles to point for Carn to leave the half time score 0-07 to 0-04 in favour of the home side. The second half saw N. Mhuire dominate possession and Ciaran McGinley took a good return from Tom McHugh and drove over the bar before McHugh himself register a fine 30 yard effort. Further points from McGinley and Sean 'Yank' Boyle saw N. Mhuire push out to ten points before Carn had reply scores from McConnologue, Ryan Doherty and Donncha Gallagher. An impressive point from Sean 'Point' Gallagher and a point from the left side kept the score board ticking for N. Mhuire. Gerard Doherty for Carn pushed forward from midfield and took a score as well as further scores from D. Gallagher but N.Mhuire finished strongest with McGinley firing over points before the experienced Owenie McGarvey pushed forward and took a fisted score. An open contest with good football on display with Donncha Gallagher, Gerard Doherty and Mark Cannon showing well for Carn while it was a good team effort from the home team. N. Mhuire: S.
