Speaking about the album, Eileen Boyle said, "families across the local community have experienced the dedication and support of Donegal Hospice Homecare Service and we felt that this album was an opportunity for local people to give something back. We contacted local artists and asked them to participate in this special project and all gave their time and talent free of charge. This album represents local people coming together in these difficult financial times to support a worthy local cause". The title song, “Le Cuidiú Dé”, was made possible due to Peermusic UK, Ltd., and Universal Music AS, who kindly gave permission to translate the classic song “You Raise Me Up”, originally written by Brendan Graham with music by Rolf Lovland, for this project. All fees were generously waived for this good cause. Speaking on RTE Raidió na Gaeltachta last Friday, Daniel O'Donnell said, 'I am overjoyed to be part of this project. It is an honour to be joined on the album by the cream of Irish vocal talent, especially with all funds raised from album sales benefiting the Donegal Hospice Homecare Service".
