No Luck for U-16s in County Div 1 Final

Our young U-16s were beaten by Aodh Ruadh, Ballyshannon in the County Final at McCumhaill Park, Ballybofey (31/08/2011).
This young side from our area have no apologies or explanations to make as they have had a huge season making it to this final. Aodh Rua are an exceptional side at the very peak age wise and our side comprise of many 14 year olds who played like men. En Route to this final we defeated names such as Kilcar, Ardara and McCumhaills and remember this is Div 1, the top level. The physical strength was matched tonight as the lads are two years into a fitness programme which will definetely bear fruit. Hats off to Aodh Ruadh and congrats to them, however in the years to come these two teams will hopefully be playing in a Senior championship and tonight's players will meet again on a bigger stage.
