Reserve earn good victory over Carndonagh

N. Mhuire 2-9 Carndonagh 0-8

The home team started brightly and had 1-02 on the scoreboard early on with a goal from the improving J. Pigeon and point from Kevin Boyle and Aidy O'Gara. N. Mhuire continued to control the game but had a number of wides. Carndonagh then got their first two scores through Iarlagh McLoughlin and Tony Diver. While Hugh McGeady controlled the half back line there was further points by Francis Gallagher, Kevin Boyle and Darren Gallagher helped N. Mhuire to a half time lead of 0-8 to 0-2. Carn worked hard in the second half and put it up to the N. Mhuire with Iarlagh McLoughlin, John Gibbons and Steve Doherty getting good points to bring them into the game but Kevin Boyle as well as a fine effort from the back by BP Boyle. N. Mhuire kept the ball well in the closing stages to see the game out. Good performanes from Carn from John Gibbons, Iarlagh McLoughlin and Kevin Toner while for N. Mhuire good displays from corner backs Thomas Devenney and Christopher Devlin while Francis Gallagher worked hard and showed well up front.
