The reserves gave a lesson in scoring in poor conditions by beating Na Dunaibh reserves 4-9 to 1-7.
At the break Naomh Muire led 2-5 to 0-3 and once the visitors got their third goal early in the second half the game was over as a contest. A late Maxi Curran goal from the penalty spot was nothing but consolation for Na Dúnaibh. Best for Downings were Bryan Mc Ginley and Micheal Bradley while Shaun J Boyle scored 3-6 of Naomh Muire's total playing a leading role in another really good reserve performance. Although conditions were poor, the ball handling and control was really good from the young reserves who had wee Johnny Gallagher back in action tonight. 1 SHANE GREEN 2.THOMAS DEVENNEY 3.
