The u16s travelled to Kilcar on Easter Monday evening and came away with a good display and their 3rd league win. The 1st half was close with Kilcar strong at midfield and winning this battle in the 1st half. Naomh Mhuire played with a slight breeze in the opening half and had some great scores from Hugh Boyle and Darren Sweeney. Kilcar responded with a fortunate goal which dropped under the crossbar to leave the game all square after 20 mins. A goal from darren Sweeney left the half-time score 1-08 to 1-05 to Naomh Mhuire.
Kilcar got the opening score of the 2nd half however for the remainder of the game Naomh Mhuire took over and kicked some great scores with the forwards moving the ball quickly and playing as a unit. This was a good display from the team with an all-round team-display. Best for Naomh Mhuire were Cameron Harley in defence, Sean Burns and Conor Boyle who never stopped running, and Hugh Boyle, James Ferry and Sean mc Cafferty in attack who kicked some great scores and were unselfish in their play.
