Foreglen (Derry) 2-11 v Naomh Muire (Donegal) 1-11. Foreglen of Derry go into the Ulster Semi Final following their comeback victory against Naomh Muire in Derry today. Having led all of the first half following a flying start...the Derry men narrowed the deficit to two points at Half time 1-5 to 1-03. The crucial 15 mins of the second half however belonged to the men from the Sperrins as they pulled back to equalize before getting the first of their two goals. Naomh Muire fell into a 4 point deficit before mounting their own impressive comeback in what became a thrilling second half. Naomh Muire had chances to go ahead but it didn't happen at the crucial times. With ten minutes left it was all square and in the end Foreglen got the vital scores to allow them to end the stronger side and seal victory. Overall it was game that slipped away from Naomh Muire and one that could have been won. It was great to see another huge turnout at Celtic Park with many who couldn't make it tuning into Facebook, Raidio na Gaeltachta and Highland Radio for updates. This support was lifting. That brings the Intermediate Championship season to an end and one that still has the prize of Senior Football in 2014. Good luck to Foreglen in the Ulster Semi- Final. Cúpla pictiúr on chluiche inniu. Mí ádh a fheara. The club would like to wish Hugh the Yank a speedy recovery following his injury at today's game. Comments are closed.
